Halik, Anna

Georg's grandmother on his mother's side; her mother Katherina Schod was a factory worker, the particulars of her illegitimate father are unknown. She lived in Wiener Neustadt from 1846 after marrying the factory official August Halik, who originated from Prague. Following the marriage ceremony of the daughter Maria Catherina to Tobias Trakl in 1878, she moved with the pair to Salzburg. There she lived a quiet and withdrawn life and probably suffered from a growing dementia.
